Step : How to Create a Split Test in the Workflow

Created by Faye BSG, Modified on Fri, 06 Oct 2023 at 06:37 AM by Faye BSG

In this article, we will discuss how to create a Split Test in your ClickFunnels Workflow. A split test allows you to evaluate changes to your workflow by comparing the success of two different step actions in the same position in the workflow. By comparing the success of the two steps, you can determine which one works better for your workflow and audience.

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • A workflow created in your Marketing Workflows
  • A trigger set up in your workflow

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. Navigate to the workflow to which you wish to add the split test step.

  2. Locate the step you want the split test step to follow. Mouse over the small circle below that step, and click the + button when it appears.

  3. Under the workflow heading, click on the Split test option.

  4. Ensure the traffic is split to your preferred weight. You can adjust this by clicking on the workflow step once.

  5. Adjust the weight of each choice using the following steps:
    1. Adjust the split between original and test by moving the slider to the left (Original) and right (Test) to favor that path.  Or type in a percentage between 0 and 100 in the input field for either choice.
    2. Click Apply change to save your changes.
    3. Click Discard to leave the settings without changing the step.
    4. Click on the trash can icon if you wish to remove this workflow step.

NOTE: only do this if you are sure that you wish to remove this step.

  6. Congratulations!  You have successfully created a split test in your Marketing Workflow.  When active, this workflow will split visitors down each path based on the weight of each choice.
