Abandoned

This article will guide you through creating an Abandoned Cart sequence using a Workflow. An abandoned cart is when a visitor opts in and sees your product but does not make the purchase. The sequence can be used to follow up and retarget those visitors via email or to perform any other supported task, such as tagging the contact or sending details to third-party integrations.

Requirements:

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
  • A Product
  • A Funnel
  • A Page with a Checkout Element and a Product attached

Set Up the Required Steps:

Abandoned

A couple of specific steps are required at particular points in the Workflow.

  1. Use a Delay step at the beginning of the Workflow to give visitors time to make the purchase. You can give visitors however long you want, but make sure it is at least enough time for them to complete the checkout process.
  2. Use a Conditional Goal at the end of the Workflow with the following filter:
    Abandoned
    1. Purchased Product
    2. Is
    3. Select the product you have attached to the page.

Important Note: For more details about Workflow Steps, see this help article.

Add Any Additional Steps:

Abandoned

Keeping the Delay step at the beginning and the Conditional Goal step at the end, add in any steps you would like between them. You could send emails, trigger other workflows, or any other step you wish to perform.
