Step : How to Send Email

This article will discuss how to use the Workflow builder to send an automated email. This workflow step can allow you to send notifications, updates, or marketing documents to contacts going through your workflow.  In order to send emails using a ClickFunnels workflow, please make sure that your workspace has a sending email set-up before using this step.

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • A sending email set up in your Workspace
  • A workflow created in your Marketing Workflows
  • A trigger set up in your workflow

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. In the Marketing section of your account, navigate to the workflow to which you wish to add the Send Email step.

  2. In the workflow, choose the step that you would like the send email step to follow.  Move your mouse over the small circle below that step, and click the + button when it appears.


  3. This will open a popup window on the right-hand side of the screen.  This will list the various options for actions to occur in this step.  Under the send heading, click on the Send Email option.


  4. You can now configure this email to appear as you wish and establish its settings.  Your tools for this are as follows:
    1. Set a name for the email that you want to send.
    2. Design the email, optionally selecting a template and setting up the body of the email.
    3. Set a subject to appear as the subject line for the email.
    4. Set a preheadline to appear in the email description.
    5. Select a from address from the sending email addresses set up in this workspace.
    6. When satisfied with your settings, click the create step button to save these changes.

  5. Congratulations!  You have successfully created an email step in your Marketing Workflow.  Your email will automatically send when the workflow is activated, and the previous steps in the workflow have been completed.
