Shipping: Package Settings

This article will go over the settings available when creating or editing a Shipping Package. Package Settings can be customized no matter if it was created as a Custom Package or Carrier Package.

Requirements:

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
  • A Shipping Package created

Name:

The “Name” field helps you identify the Package. Type in something unique and descriptive.

Package Type:

The “Package Type” determines the material and format of the packaging. Select from the following Package Types:

  • Box: A “Box” is a cardboard box taped closed.
  • Envelope: An “Envelope” is a thin paper enclosure for shipping letters and other documents.
  • Soft Package: A “Soft Package” is usually a malleable protective plastic enclosure for shipping small items that are not fragile.

Dimensions:

The following options define the size of the selected Package Type:

  • Length: The “Length” of the selected Package Type, measured in the selected “Unit.” 
  • Width: The “Width” of the selected Package Type, measured in the selected “Unit.”
  • Height: The “Height” of the selected Package Type, measured in the selected “Unit.”
  • Unit:  The “Unit” is the unit of measurement for the Length, Width, and Height.

Empty Weight:

The “Empty Weight” lets you specify the weight of the Package itself without any Product enclosed. This weight will be added to the Product’s weight when calculating the total weight of a package for Fulfillment.

  • Weight When Empty (optional): Type the weight of the Package without any Product enclosed into the “Weight When Empty” field.
  • Unit: The “Unit” is the unit of measurement for the “Weight When Empty” option.

Use to Calculate Live Rates at Checkout:

Check the box labeled “Use this package to calculate live rates at checkout” to make this Package the default Package for calculating live shipping rates.

Important Note: Only one Package can be selected to calculate live rates at any time. Enabling this option will automatically deactivate it on any other Package.
