Fulfillments Guide

Created by Faye BSG, Modified on Fri, 17 Nov 2023 at 12:14 PM by Education Team

A Fulfillment is an Order for a Product that has a paid Invoice and needs to be shipped/delivered. This is usually associated with a Physical Product and Shipping; However, it can be used with non-physical products as well (for example, software licenses). Using Fulfillments with Physical Products allows you to automatically create shipping labels that you can print out and use to ship your product. Fulfillments are closely tied to the Inventory system as well.

Requirements:

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
  • A Product
  • A paid Invoice for an Order for the Product
  • Optionally, Shipping configured (for automatic label creation with Physical Products)

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Configure Shipping (optional):

If you are selling and fulfilling Orders for a Physical Product that requires Shipping, and you want to generate the shipping label from ClickFunnels, you must have your Shipping settings configured in your Workspace.

Please see our documentation on Shipping (article coming soon) for more information.

Enable Fulfillment Requirement:

To begin using Fulfillments, you must turn on the “Fulfillment Required” setting for the Product.

  1. Access the Product Settings. For step-by-step instructions, see the “Edit an Existing Product” section of “ How to Manage Products”.

  2. From the Product Settings, check the box labeled “Fulfillment Required”.

Important Note: When the product includes Variants, the “Inventory & Shipping” changes to “Shipping.” Inventory (SKU and Fulfillment requirement) is managed on each Variant individually.

  3. With Fulfillment enabled, you will see the following options:
    • Track Quantity: Use the Inventory (article coming soon) system to track stock and availability of the Product.
    • Don’t Track Quantity: Don’t track stock and availability.

Example:

  1. When tracking the quantity, the following information is counted:
    • On-hand:  Each Location (article coming soon) will be listed with their individual total inventory minus the number of “fulfilled” Orders from that location for the Product.
    • Committed: The committed quantity is the number of Orders for the Product with paid Invoices that are still “unfulfilled.”
    • Available: The available quantity is the total on-hand quantity minus the committed quantity. This indicates the amount of inventory you have available to sell that you can still fulfill.

Example:

Tip: Click “Inventory History” to see all events and corresponding adjustments made to the quantities.

  1. You will also have the option to continue selling when you run out of stock.
