Customer Dashboard - Manage Subscription Payment Methods Through Self-Service

This article explains how Customer Center subscribers or end users can use the self-service Customer Center to change the payment method used for a subscription product. Sometimes, end users want to change the card used to pay for their subscriptions; they can do so by following this article.


Important Note. This process applies to end users of a Customer Center subscription, where ClickFunnels’ merchants serve as the vendor directly to the end user.

Share the Customer Center Link

The merchant needs to share the Customer Center Link with their end users so that they can access their Customer Dashboard. Merchants can share the Customer Center Link in their purchase confirmation emails, the order confirmation step of their funnels, or any other resource related to confirming the purchase of a subscription product and access to the content from their Customer Center.  


Before sharing the Customer Center link, we need to make sure our Customer Center is ready for your subscriptions self-service: 


  1. Click on Site from the main menu to the left of the page.

  2. Click on Customer Center.

  3. Scroll down to the Visibility Settings section.

  4. Ensure the Payment Method UpdatesSubscription Updates, and Course Enrollments value boxes are checked to allow subscribers to update their subscription payment information.

  5. Scroll to the top of the page and click the Update Customer Center button at the top-right corner of your screen.


Now that we have changed the Visibility Settings, stay on the same Customer Center main page, and follow these steps to identify and share the Customer Center link:

  1. Locate the Customer Center Link at the top of the page and click the Copy icon to copy the link.
  2. Include this link on the resource you will use to share this information with your subscribers.


Example: I added the Customer Center link to the confirmation email they will receive after purchasing my subscription product.

Access Your Subscriptions

  1. The Customer Dashboard from the Customer Center contains all account settings and information. Subscribers or end users can access their information by opening the Customer Center Link. Example of a Customer Center:

  2. From the main Customer Center page, navigate to the User Menu at the top-right corner and click on your avatar or initials.

  3. Click on My Account. This would open your Customer Dashboard.

  4. Click “My Account” from the left dashboard menu.

  5. Click the “Subscriptions” tab to view your subscription purchases.

Change Subscription Payment Method

If you need to add a new payment method, follow the instructions in the linked article first.

  1. Locate the subscription whose payment method you want to change. Click on the three dots to the right of the subscription and select “View”.

  2. This will open the Order Details page. Find the “Customer” section to your right, and click the settings wheel icon next to “Autopay Method”.

  3. Locate the saved Payment Method you wish to use to pay for the subscription and click it. This will select it as the default payment method.
