TABLE OF CONTENTS

Smart Checkout Information:

The “Smart Checkout element (shown simply as “Checkout” in the Page Editor) is our newest checkout feature; this element was created to replace our Checkout element, now called “Checkout (Legacy)”, with better technology to process payments through your funnels.

The Smart Checkout element allows you to sell a product through a funnel page. It uses Payments.AI technology to add and submit Payment Information. It also uses some other ClickFunnels features, some already included in the first Checkout element and some newer ones.

The new features of the Smart Checkout are:

  • One-Click Checkout
  • Upgrades & Downgrades
  • One-Time Offers
  • Shipping Profiles
  • More customization options

Checkout Element Parts Breakdown:

We will break down the Checkout element into small sections to better understand it.

  1. Checkout Steps. This section works as a navigation menu; it allows the viewer to move between steps (if multiple steps are selected); it also indicates which step we are currently at and how many steps we have left to complete our checkout.

  1. Contact Information. It’s essential to gather your contact personal information, such as name, email address, or phone number. Collecting your customers' data allows you to contact your customers for order follow-up and marketing purposes.

  1. Shipping Information. The shipping address is important for your internal shipping process. Whether your shipping process is automated or manual, you must save your customer information.

  1. Product Select. The Product Select section allows your customers to select one of the products you have added to this particular page.

  1. Shipping Options. It allows your customers to select a Shipping option. Based on the predefined Shipping profiles, rates and packages

  1. Payment Information. The Payment Information section includes the credit card input fields or additional payment types if added to your account.

  1. Order Bump. You can set the products from your Funnel Step product list as a bump, a complimentary product to the main product from this page. An excellent example of an order bump product could be adding an extra utensil to a kitchen kit.

  1. Summary. The Summary section of your Smart Checkout element becomes your virtual check and allows your customers to review what they have added to their cart before submitting the order.

Important Note: The Summary section is part of the original checkout element, and you can also add a stand-alone Summary element if your page design requires it on a different column or section of your page. If you add an additional Summary element to your page, the Smart Checkout will detect it and automatically hide the default one.

  1. Checkout Buttons. Depending on how many steps you set for your Smart Checkout element, you will have navigation or submit buttons to allow your customers to continue with checkout. You can customize these buttons to make them more appealing to your customers.
