This article will provide instructions on setting up your Webinar funnel and the requirements you need.
Requirements:
An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
TABLE OF CONTENTS
- Create a Webinar Funnel
- Attach the Event to your Funnel
- Countdown Elements
- Send Webinar Emails Via Workflows
- Additional Information:
Create a Webinar Funnel
From the main menu, click on Funnels.
Click on Create Funnel.
Select the Webinar Funnel option.
The webinar funnel must contain three pages:
The Webinar Register Page. This is where the visitor will submit their information to register for the event.
Webinar Confirmation Page. Is the page where they land after registration, you can add information about the webinar, a countdown, or anything necessary for your customers to know.
Webinar Watch Page. That’s the page where the registrants will watch your webinar. This page can be sent via email.
Click Start from Scratch to add your pages or select an existing template.
We used an existing template containing the three required pages for this example.
Attach the Event to your Funnel
On the Registration Page, click on the three-dots menu, then click on Manage Events.
Complete the following:
Select the calendar event created for the Webinar.
Select the action Register Visitor After Optin Form Submission.
If the date of the event expires, you can send them to another page by selecting it here.
Click on Attach when finished.
Countdown Elements
Countdown elements base their information on the Event date and time; however, the user needs to be registered for them to work.
If you add a countdown element in the Registration Page, the countdown will show zero since they still need to be registered. The workaround for this will be to set the countdown element to the exact date and time of the Event.
To add a Countdown element, check the following steps:
Open the editor of the Register Page.
Open the Settings of the Countdown Element.
If you are adding the Countdown Event in the Registration Page, select the Countdown option and add the same deadline date as your Event.
If you add a Countdown element on the Confirmation or Webinar Watch Page, select Calendar Event.
For the timer actions, you can select to show the specific section where your video is located.
Important note: For the Show Content action to work, the selected section needs to be hidden.
Send Webinar Emails Via Workflows
Click the Workflows icon from the Register Page.
You can add an existing Workflow or create a new one. For this example, we will create a new one by clicking New Workflow.
Complete the following information:
Add a Name for your Workflow.
Select the Calendar Event - Contact Registered option.
Click on Create Workflow.
You can start building your Workflow as you desire. Example:
The Calendar Event Delay option works as a conditional step to perform an action a certain amount of time before the Webinar.
You must select the desired amount of minutes, hours, or days before the event to perform an action, for example, sending an email.
Important Note: If a registrar doesn’t complete the Workflow steps before the Webinar starts, select “Move to Next Step” to send the remaining emails. If you want to skip them, select “Move to next step, but skip communication steps”.
