In this article, we will cover URL Redirects in Site and Funnels.Below is a video to help you get started!

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account.
  • A domain verified in your ClickFunnels account.

How can you make sure to funnel people to your current page, especially if you have had different domains in the past?  You can link multiple URLs to the same page using a URL redirect.  You can also use a URL redirect to divert traffic from an expired offer or page to a more current one.

Making sure that your page is current and showing the most recent version of your page helps your business grow.  When people know that the information they get from you is up-to-date, it builds their trust, a key factor in building your business.

Add a new URL Redirect

  1. Click on Sites from the main menu.
  2. Click on the tab marked URL Redirects on the left-hand side of the screen.

  3. To add a new URL redirect, click on the black button marked Add New URL Redirect on the top right corner of this page.

  4. You can now add the settings to send traffic from one URL to another.

  5. Create a name for your new URL redirect for tracking purposes.  Visitors will not see this name.
  6. Select the New URL Domain. Use your Site domain for this.
  7. Select the Original Path of the URL you wish to redirect within your domain.  Traffic going to this path will be redirected to your target URL.
  8. Add the Target URL to specify where you send visitors.  Include the full URL here, including the http or https.
  9. Add the second URL to split your page. This step is optional.
  10. Set the Split percentage.
  11. You can add a pixel code to track events here.

Congratulations!  You have now created a new URL Redirect.  Traffic going to the Original Path will now go to the Target URL.  It may take up to an hour for this redirection to fully apply.

Testing Your URL Redirect

Once you have created your URL Redirect, you may wish to test it.  This will ensure that it is functioning as intended.

  1. Open a Private Browsing/Incognito window in your web browser.  Using a Private Browsing/Incognito window ensures that cookies or cache items will not affect your test results.
  2. In the URL bar, paste the full URL of your Original Path, including the domain name.  Once you have done this, click or press return to go to this URL.
  3. Your browser should now show the URL that was set up as the Target URL.  If it does not, your redirect may not have been applied yet.
