This article will discuss how to create a delay between the steps in your workflow. This delay lets you plan the pace at which steps occur, which can help you time emails and status updates. The workflow will only progress once the delay is complete.
Steps are executed from top to bottom. Therefore, any step below a delay is also delayed, including subsequent delay steps.
For example, if your Workflow has two delay steps, both with a delay of 5 minutes, any step below the second delay will be delayed by 10 minutes from the start of the Workflow.

Step-by-step Walkthrough
Navigate to the workflow to which you wish to add the Delay step.
Locate the step that you would like the delay step to follow. Move your mouse over the small circle below that step, and click the + button when it appears.
Select the Delay step option.
Complete the fields to set the duration and interval of the delay.
For example, a duration set to

and an interval set inminutes
. The delay would last for 5 minutes.- The duration is the number of time units that the workflow will pause.
- The interval is the unit of time that the duration will take.
- When you are satisfied with the settings on your delay, click Create to create the delay and save your settings.
