MessageHub: Telegram Inbox Configuration

Telegram is a popular messaging platform known for its speed, security, and simplicity, making it an excellent choice for businesses to engage with their audience. By integrating Telegram with MessageHub, you can centralize your conversations, making it easier to manage customer queries and deliver timely responses. In this article, we’ll guide you through the steps to set up a Telegram inbox in MessageHub.


Requirements


Obtaining the Telegram Bot Token

Before adding a Telegram inbox to MessageHub, you need to create a Telegram bot and retrieve its unique token using Telegram's BotFather. This token is essential for connecting your bot to MessageHub. Follow these steps to obtain your token:

  1. Open Telegram and search for "BotFather" in the search bar.

  2. Start a conversation with BotFather by clicking Start.

  3. Use the command /newbot to create a new bot.

  4. Follow the prompts to provide a name and username for your bot. The username must end with "bot" (e.g., SupportBot).

  5. Once your bot is created, BotFather will provide an API token. This token is required for integrating your bot with MessageHub.


Adding Telegram Inbox

  1. Open the MessageHub app from the left-side menu in your ClickFunnels Workspace.

  2. Navigate to Settings âš™ > Chat Inboxes and click the Add Inbox button in the top-right corner.

  3. From the list of available inbox types, select Telegram.

  4. Enter the Bot Token you obtained via BotFather and click Create Telegram Channel.

  5. Assign agents to the Facebook Messenger inbox by selecting them from the dropdown menu and clicking Add Agents.

Your Telegram inbox is now ready and will appear in the list of chat inboxes.
