Marketing : Email Merge Tags

This article will explain how to access and use Merge Tags in your ClickFunnels emails. Doing so allows your emails to be customized with information and data from your ClickFunnels account. Merge Tags that are available when editing an email’s content can also be copied and pasted into that email’s Subject Line. System Emails may have different Merge Tags available to them.

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • A Marketing email template or System Email to customize.
  • Contact information or other relevant data is available in your ClickFunnels account.
  • An element that supports custom text.

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. Open the Email Editor for the email you wish to add a Merge Tag.

  2. Find or add an element that supports custom text, such as a Title, Button, or Text element.

  3. Click into the text area of the element to start modifying the text. Place your text cursor at the specific location you want the Merge Tag to be inserted.

  4. Click on the Merge Tags button.

  5. Select the Merge Tag you wish to add from those available in the list that appears.

  6. Make any final adjustments without modifying the written text inserted by the Merge Tag.

    Important Note: If there's no data available for a merge tag, the system will just show a blank space.

  7. Congratulations! You now know how to add a Merge Tag to your ClickFunnels emails.
