What is Spamurai?

Spamurai is a spam detection tool implemented on September 24, 2023, for all ClickFunnels email editors.  Spamurai is designed to analyze your email content and determine whether it might be flagged as spam by email service providers or not.

How Spamurai Determines if Something is Considered Spam?

Whenever you Publish a new email template in ClickFunnels, Spamurai analyzes the raw data from your email template using AI technology and indicates if it could be considered spam by email providers, such as Microsoft and Gmail. The API provides us with a spam score rating. If the email template receives a spam score rating above an acceptable threshold, it is marked and logged as a spam template.

Why can’t I Publish an email?

If you are trying to Publish a new Email or Broadcast but are getting an error message, it might be our Spamurai spam detection tool flagging your email content. If you receive an error message while trying to publish a new email or broadcast, please contact our Tech Support team using our help section or by emailing support@clickfunnels.com.

How Often is an Email Evaluated for Spam?

After you have made changes to your email template, upon clicking on the Publish button in the editor, Spamurai analyzes the raw data from your email template using AI technology. If your email template is logged as spam, you can adjust your template and re-publish the template to reduce the probability of the template being considered spam.

What Does Spamurai Affect?

The Spamurai spam analysis affects the ability to save or use a template in a broadcast or an email-send workflow. If an email template is considered spam, the template won’t save, and this will prevent the possibility of your outgoing source from being flagged as spam. This will help preserve your reputation score and aid us in continuing to be a trusted email deliverability service.

What Type of Emails Does Spamurai Not Affect?

Spamurai does not affect system emails such as password resets, magic link logins, or any billing emails you or your subscribers/customers might receive.

If Something Is Considered Spam, How Are My Broadcasts Affected?

If an email template is considered spam, it cannot be saved to a broadcast or a workflow email. Broadcasts must have a template defined to be sent to your audience. The same goes for email-send workflows. If an email template cannot be saved to an email-send workflow, the trigger to send an email to your audience will not be successful. If you update and publish an email template already attached to a scheduled or sent broadcast, only the published version of the template will be used in the broadcast. The edits to the template will not be applied if the edited version is deemed to contain spam.

What Can I Do if Something is Considered Spam?

If your email template is likely to be spam, you can contact support for assistance in identifying what it is about your email template that could be causing it to be considered spam.
