Community: Granting Community Access

This article will walk through the various ways a contact can be given access to your Community, a Group, or a Topic.

Requirements

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
  • A Community with at least one Group with at least one Topic

Product Purchase Action

Using a Purchase Action on a Product will grant Community permissions to a contact when they purchase it. This method allows you to easily associate a purchase with Community, Group, or Topic access.

  1. Follow the steps in the “Edit a Product” section in the article How to Manage Products to access the desired product’s settings.

  2. Scroll to the Purchase Actions section and click the plus icon next to Community Access.

  3. Check the boxes next to the Groups and Topics you want the product to grant access to.

  4. Click the Save button.

Contact Profile

You can manually grant a specific contact access to the Community through their Contact Profile. This method allows you to easily grant a single contact access to multiple Groups or Topics.

  1. Follow the steps in the Edit a Contact section in the article How to Manage Contacts How to Manage Contacts to access the desired contact’s settings.

  2. Scroll to the Community Permissions section and click Update Settings to expand the section.

  3. Configure the Community Membership, Community Group Memberships, and Community Topic Memberships. See our documentation on Contact Details Settings for more details about each setting.

  4. Click the Update Contact button.

Collaborator Role

The “Community Manager” Collaborator role allows you to give a contact full permission to the community, like the account owner. See our documentation on Collaborator Roles for more details.

  1. Follow the instructions in the “Add a Collaborator” or “Edit a Collaborator” sections in the article How to Manage Workspace Collaborators.

  2. Select the “Community Manager” role while following the steps outlined.
    Example:
    Adding a new Collaborator with the Community Manager role.
