Maintenance Plan Primer

Created by Faye BSG, Modified on Thu, 30 Nov 2023 at 01:10 PM by Jose Mayorquin

Maintenance plan is for users actively paying for CF2. They can activate this under the user settings. [Launch Darkly feature gate is “Clickfunnels-classic-oauth”.]

Once they click “Integrate with ClickFunnels Classic” there is an Oauth request to approve access in their CF1 account. This will bring the user to a plan selection page where they can select the $0/ month Maintenance plan with limited functionality (see details at the bottom of doc) or continue with their paid subscription and continue to have full access.

All account types, monthly or annual plans, will be converted to Maintenance Plans immediately after selecting the option to do so. Monthly accounts will not receive a proration for remaining subscription time. (At this time)

Subusers will have the same level of access the owner has.

Steps for enabling Maintenance Plans:

  1. Integrate with ClickFunnels Classic

  1. The user will then need to Approve access in CF1 account - If the user is already logged in to CF1 they will see the Approve and Deny buttons to grant authorization.

  2. The user will need to login to CF1 if they were not when clicking “Integrate with ClickFunnels Classic”.

  3. In CF2 under Account Settings this Enable button will appear. (A message in CF2 will show if the CF1 account is connected to another CF2 account)

  1. Clicking on this button will bring the user to a plan selection page to select their current plan or switch to the $0/ month maintenance plan - The user will be redirected to the CF2 dashboard. (There is no confirmation flash message at this time)

  2. An email confirmation will be sent to the users that they have switched their account to Maintenance mode. (This email is going to be updated)

If the account has a credit in Stripe it will be transferred over (customer has paid for multiple months or pays annually for CF1 etc).

A user can go to Settings > Billing to see their existing credit memos.(The credit amount may be added into the confirmation email in the future)

Switching between paid plans and Maintenance Mode plans:

The account can be switched back to a paid account and will need to remain on a paid account for at least 30 days. (Will return and update after confirming the state of this)

Cancellation process to be added in the future:

  1. When a user cancels CF2 and have a connected CF1 account they will be prompted to cancel the CF1 account or switch it to a paid plan? (This is not in place yet)

  2. They will receive a confirmation email that includes the date of the cancellation (end of “billing” period). Domains and Payment gateways will be deleted at the time of cancellation. NOTE: A customer can subscribe to a paid plan during this time to save their information and account intact.

Maintenance Plan Details:

Maintenance plan does not change the access account’s level of access. It does “freeze” it’s current features. So if a user has never unlocked Backpack while on Platinum and switched to a Maintenance plan they won't be able to unlock it until the account is on a paid plan. The same with FUF.

There are two types of plans users will be put on based on what type of account they currently have.

Plan 1 $0/month Startup Maintenance for account types when converting:

Pause plan >

Startup >

Plan 2 is $0/ month Platinum Maintenance for account types when converting:

Platinum

MM Plans Can Create

  • Pages or Steps inside of a funnel at any time (not sure about if they were on a Paused plan)

  • Products with existing Payment Gateway were present before switching to Maintenance Mode

  • Funnel Automation (Email and SMS) an existing SMTP or Twilio integration was present before switching to Maintenance Mode

  • New steps in an existing FUF (if previously on Platinum or higher account)

  • Backpack is open as long as it was “unlocked” before switching to Maintenance mode.

MM Plans Can Edit

  • Existing FUF and can be managed and see send Broadcasts (if previously on Platinum or higher account)

  • Existing affiliates, affiliate types, and Commission plans and access Settings (if previously on Platinum or higher account)

  • Existing Funnels, steps, and automation (mentioned they can create new steps above)

The plan is to prevent users from switching from a Maintenance plan to a paid plan multiple times and are limiting it to 30 days minimum on paid plan per switch. Based on the previous plan. If it was previously a Maintenance plan it will display a restriction page.
