Much like Hollywood giving previews before a movie release, the Product Launch Funnel lets an entrepreneur build anticipation before a customer is allowed to buy a product. Small marketing “previews” about the product are sent, usually at least a day apart, to build scarcity and urgency for the final day when the “cart opens,” and customers may buy for a limited time.
A defining feature of the Product Launch Funnel is closing the cart after a few days. This concept was pioneered by Jeff Walker and helped thousands of entrepreneurs to launch new companies overnight.
Step by Step Walk Through:
- From the left side menu, click on Site and Funnels.
- Click on Funnels.
- Click on Recipes to find the pre-made funnel templates.
- Click on Sell a product to filter the types of templates.
- Select the Product Launch Funnel.
- The Product Launch Funnel has three pages: a sales page, an order form, and an order confirmation page.
Important note: Remember that you can add as many additional Sales Pages as necessary to match your desired campaign. - Add a name for your funnel, then click Create Funnel.
- Now, you will see the Funnel Workflow for your new Product Launch Funnel.
- Click on the Sales Page to edit it.
- You can choose a template from the Sales Templates or create a new page from scratch by selecting the New Page button.
- Add a name and a brief description for your page.
- A page URL will auto-generate, but it can be changed.
- You can set up SEO settings to help search engines index your page.
- To edit the content of your page, click on Edit to open the page editor.
- You can start editing your page as needed. Adding or removing sections, rows, or elements. Your goal on this page is to start to get people excited about your product.
- If you added additional Sales pages, repeat the steps to edit them. Remember that you are building a narrative daily to encourage your audience to be enthusiastic about your product when it releases.
- The last page on this funnel will be the Order Form Page. Click on it to start building it.
- You can choose a template from the Order Templates or create a new page from scratch by selecting the New Page button.
- To edit the content of your page, click on Edit to open the page editor.
- You can start editing your page as needed. Adding or removing sections, rows, or elements.
- An Order page needs two elements to work as expected:
- A checkout element
- A product added to the page
- Click Save once you have finished editing your page.
- Pages can be edited at any time.
- Congratulations! Now you know how to create a Product Launch Funnel.
