Editor : How to Set the Fit for a Lesson Image Element

Modified on Wed, 22 Nov, 2023 at 3:06 PM

In this document, we will explore how to set the fit on a Lesson Image Element. This can help you to format an image to the available space. This allows you to choose whether you would prefer the image to be cropped to fit the available space, stretched and shifted to fill the available space, or reduced in size so that the largest dimension of the available space determines the size of the image.

Prior to getting started, you will need to have the following:

  • A page
  • A section and row on the page
  • A lesson image element on the page

Step by Step Walk Through:

  1. Go to the editor on the page on which you wish to change or set the fit for the Lesson Image element.

  2. Mouse over the image and click on the gear icon.

  3. Find the Image Settings heading and select the Fit dropdown menu.

  4. You can now use this tool to select from the Fit options.
    1. Fill is the initial setting and will not preserve the image aspect ratio.  Using Fill, the image will be squashed to fit the available size of the frame.
    2. Contain will preserve the image aspect ratio, but the image is required to fit the available space.  If the image is larger than the area for the image, it will be reduced in size.
    3. Cover will preserve the image aspect ratio, but the image is not required to fit the available space.  If the dimensions of the image are larger than the dimensions of the image window, it may appear to be cropped.
    4. Scale-Down will scale an image down to fit the available space and may leave blank space in areas where the dimensions of the image element and the dimensions of the image do not match.  In ClickFunnels, you can select the positioning of a scaled-down image using the grid below.

  5. When satisfied with your changes, click anywhere outside of the pop-up window to close it.  Don’t forget to save your changes.

  6. Congratulations!  You have successfully set the fit for the Lesson Image element.
