Element Settings: Button Action

Selecting your button’s action depends on what you want to achieve – this article talks about the available button actions.

Requirements:

• An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
• An existing page with a supported element

On Click:

This setting determines what happens when a visitor clicks on the element.

Click the drop-down menu to change the on click setting.

Important Note: The default setting is submit order/form.

1. Nothing happens: The page refreshes but does not perform any action.
2. Go to: The visitor is forwarded to a custom URL or a custom action link.
   
   
   1. Custom URL: Manually enter the exact web URL to use after “https://”. E.g., www.clickfunnels.com
      
   2. Custom Action Link: Enter custom URL parameters to pass to the active page.
      
   3. Open in new window: Check this box to open the custom URL or custom action link in a new window by default.
      
3. Submit order/form:All Input and form information on the page is submitted.
   1. Enable redirect override: Check this box to enter a custom destination to load when the form is submitted.

4. Scroll to: The page scrolls to a specific section, row, or element on the page.
   
5. Show or hide: Show and hide specific sections, rows, and elements on the page. Multiple items can be selected simultaneously.
   
   
   1. Show: Select which items will be made visible.
      
   2. Hide: Select which items will be hidden.
      
6. Open pop-up: The page’s pop-up is triggered and displayed on the page.
7. Close pop-up: The page’s pop-up is closed and no longer displayed on the page.
8. Mark complete: Use this setting to mark course lessons as completed.
   Important Note: This setting is only to be used on a Course Lesson page.
9. Redirect to next step: The visitor is sent to the next Funnel step in the sequence.
   Important Note: This setting is only to be used on a Funnel step.
