Element Settings: Profile State

This article explains the available options found in the profile state. Profile state is the setting used to change the display of the contact profile element. This setting helps view the changes to the contact profile element in the page editor.

Guest:

The Guest state is displayed to a new visitor who has not been registered as a contact in your Workspace or a contact who has not signed in. The element will display a “Sign In” link until they log in.

  • Link Name: This is the text for the “Sign In” link that is displayed.

Logged:

The Logged state is used when the visitor has already been registered as a contact in your Workspace and is signed in. The element will display an icon or avatar and provide a customizable menu to display to your users when clicked.



Settings:

The following settings are available for the icon and menu container in the Logged state.

  • Preview open profile: This is a preview that will simulate when the contact clicks on the icon. Using the Preview option will allow you to see your changes to the menu while in the Page Editor.

  • Display state: This is a preview of the icon or avatar. The avatar will display the visitor’s avatar if they upload a profile image. Otherwise, the icon with the contact’s initials will display.

Components:

The following items are the components that make up the menu. Visibility for individual components can be toggled by clicking on the eye icon next to it. Each component has its own settings that can be customized individually by clicking on the gear icon.
