This article will explain the different Price Types and settings when creating a Price for a Product. The three types available are One-Time, Subscription, and Payment Plan.
Requirements:
- An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
- A Product
Price Types:
The three Price Types are described below. Their respective settings are also listed for convenience.
- One-Time:Charge a customer the full amount in a single transaction.
- Subscription:Charge a customer a specific amount at a set interval. This continues indefinitely unless the subscription is canceled.
- Payment Plan:Charge a customer a specific amount at a set interval. This continues until the total amount of payments is reached.
Amount:
Set the price for a One-Time payment. This is the amount a customer will be charged.
Amount Per Payment:
Set the price for a recurring payment. More specifically, this is the amount a customer will be charged at each interval when their recurring payment is due.
Compare At Amount:
Share a comparison price that others normally charge for a similar or the same product. This number should always be higher than the Amount.
Important Note: To display the Compare At Amount on your Checkout Element (article coming soon), enable the Compare At Price setting.
Price Name:
This setting is optional. Entering a value into this field will display the value to your customers during checkout.
Example:
Charge Customer Every:
Set the interval in which to charge customers. This determines the frequency of the Amount Per Payment that will be charged.
Amount of Payments:
This only applies to Payment Plan Prices. A customer will stop being charged after this number of payments.
Product Cost:
Specify the amount that this product costs you. This will be used in combination with the Amount to calculate your profit.
Product Has a Trial:
When setting up a Subscription or Payment Plan, you can allow a Trial by checking this box. Upon checking the box, you must set up the trial using the following options.
- Free Trial: Don’t charge anything for the duration of the trial.
- Paid Trial: Charge a set amount for the duration of the trial.
In both cases, you must configure the Trial Length. To do so, enter a number into the field and select from Days, Weeks, Months, Quarters, or Years.
You must also configure the Trial Cost when setting up a Paid Trial. This is the amount the customer will be charged when starting the trial.
Setup Fee:
Choose whether or not to charge customers a setup fee. This is a one-time fee charged at checkout. If enabled, you must configure the cost by entering a number in the One Time Setup Fee field.
Visible:
Show or hide a price option for customers to use during checkout. If the box is unchecked, it will not be an option for customers at checkout, effectively disabling the price option without completely deleting it. Likewise, make sure the box is checked to allow customers to pay using the price option.
