Element Settings: Select Box Settings

This article explains the unique options found in the Select Box element. These settings include the Input settings, which are used to collect information from your customers.

Input Type:

The “Input Type” setting controls the information the select box element collects. Listed below are the available types of information that can be collected under this setting:

  • All Countries: This configuration allows customers to choose their country of origin from the dropdown menu.

Example:

  • All United States: Use the “All United States” setting to only display all 50 states of the United States.

Example:

  • All Canadian Provinces: Only Canadian Provinces will be displayed in the drop-down by enabling this setting.

  • Custom Options: The Custom Options is a setting that allows you to gather custom information from your customers. Using this setting, you can activate a setting called "input name," which serves as the custom attribute name for the information you collect from your customers. Input Name:

Once you choose "custom options" from the input type drop-down, the input name setting becomes accessible. This particular setting serves as the title for your custom information, which can be found in the custom attribute section of the customer's contact profile.

Custom Options:

In the "custom options" setting, you can configure the custom options that your customers can choose from. The "value" field represents the captured information that appears in the custom attribute section of the contact profile, whereas the "text" field corresponds to the custom options displayed on the user interface. The “Required” setting is used to choose whether the customer is required or not to select an answer from the select box element.
