Element Settings: Input Element Settings

This article explains settings found directly under the input element. This includes settings that control the type of information being collected by the input element.

Requirements: 

  • An active ClickFunnels 2.0 account
  • An input element
  • An existing funnel step or page

Input Type:

The “input type” setting lists the different types of information that can be collected using the input element.

  1. Full Name: Collect the customer’s full name.
  2. First Name: Collect the customer’s first name only.
  3. Last Name: Collect the customer’s last name only.
  4. Email Address: Collect the customer’s email address.
  5. Phone Number: Collect the customer’s phone number.
  6. Address: Collect the customer’s address.
  7. City: Collects information about what city the customer is in.
  8. State: Collects information about what state the customer is in.
  9. Country: Collects information about what country the customer is in.
  10. Zip: Collects the customer’s zip code.
  11. Shipping Address: Collects information about what address an order will be shipped.
  12. Shipping City: Collects information about what city an order will be shipped.
  13. Shipping State: Collects information about what state an order will be shipped to.
  14. Shipping Country: Collects information about the country to which an order will be shipped.
  15. Shipping Zip: Collects information about what zip code order will be shipped.
  16. Custom Type: Collect custom information that is not listed in the available input type above.

Custom Type:

The “custom type” is a setting used to identify the “type” of information that is being collected.

Important Note: The Input Type setting must be set to Custom Type to use this field.

Required:

The "required" setting determines if the input field can be skipped or must be filled out to move to the next step of the funnel.

Important Reminder: The "email" input type is set as required by default, meaning it must be filled out. However, for all other input types, you can choose whether they are required or not.
