# How to Add and Manage Contact Segments

Contact Segments allow you to group contacts based on specific filters and criteria, making it easier to organize and target them effectively. - An active ClickFunnels account

## **Adding a New Contact Segment**

1. Go to **Customers** > **Contacts** in the left-hand menu.
2. Click **Segments** to open the segments page.
3. Click the **Add Segment** button at the top-right corner.

  1. Enter a **Name** for the segment.
  2. Click **Create a Filter** to set your segment criteria.
    1. Use options like **Contact Attributes**, **Contact Activity**, **products**, **Broadcasts**, or **Custom**.
    2. Combine multiple filters using **AND** or **OR** logic as needed.
5. Once the filters are set, click **Create Segment** to save.

## **Managing Contact Segments**

### **Edit a Segment**:

1. On the **Segments** page, locate the segment you want to update.
2. Click the **gear** (**⚙**) icon next to the segment name.
3. Modify the **Name** or adjust the filter settings.
4. Click **Update Segment** to save your changes.

**Delete a Segment**:

1. On the **Segments** page, find the segment you want to remove.
2. Click the **trash icon** next to the segment name.
3. Confirm the action by selecting **Proceed** in the pop-up.
