# How to Add and Manage Order Tags

Order tags help you organize and categorize your orders within ClickFunnels. By assigning tags, you can easily filter, group, and manage orders based on specific criteria, such as promotions, customer preferences, or order statuses. This added layer of organization simplifies tracking and enhances your ability to analyze trends and improve workflows.

In this article, you’ll learn how to create, manage, and apply tags to orders to keep your operations running smoothly and efficiently. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3762771-4bea-47c2-a830-5473d543417a/Images/Documentation/image-O1TO9HAX.png)

## Requirements

- An active ClickFunnels account
- [At least one order created in the ClickFunnels account](/v1/docs/orders-how-to-manage-orders)

---

## Adding a New Order Tag

1. Navigate to **Workspace Settings** in the sidebar menu, click **Tags**, and select **Orders**.
2. Click **Add Order Tag** in the upper-right corner of the Order Tags page.
3. Enter a unique name for the tag in the **Name** field (e.g., "VIP Customers" or "Shipped"). ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3762771-4bea-47c2-a830-5473d543417a/Images/Documentation/image-ICL54YC3.png)
4. Select a color to visually distinguish the tag by clicking one of the available color options.
5. Click **Create Order Tag** to save the new tag.

> [!WARNING]
> IMPORTANT
>
> Tag names must be unique. Tag names are case-insensitive, so “Order Tag” and “order tag” are treated as the same. If you create a tag that already exists, the system will still create the tag but automatically add a suffix to make it unique.
>
> - Creating a tag called **“HighValueOrder”** when one already exists will create **“HighValueOrder (Duplicate)”**.
> - Additional duplicates will be numbered: **“HighValueOrder (Duplicate 2)”**, **“HighValueOrder (Duplicate 3)”**, etc.
