## Obtaining the Telegram Bot Token

Before adding a Telegram inbox to MessageHub, you need to create a Telegram bot and retrieve its unique token using Telegram's BotFather. This token is essential for connecting your bot to MessageHub. Follow these steps to obtain your token:

1. Open Telegram and search for "**BotFather**" in the search bar.
2. Start a conversation with BotFather by clicking **Start**.
3. Use the command `/newbot` to create a new bot.
4. Follow the prompts to provide a name and username for your bot. The username must end with "bot" (e.g., **SupportBot**). ![](https://cdn.document360.io/e3762771-4bea-47c2-a830-5473d543417a/Images/Documentation/image(923).png)
